⚠️ Read this before you start

Makeup and beauty mishaps are real. Your eyes, skin, and hair are not a car door — the damage is often permanent.

  • Patch test 24 hours first. Put any new product on a small patch of skin (inner arm) a day before it goes near your face. Cosmetic allergies are common and can be severe.
  • Nothing goes IN your eye. Scratched corneas from mascara wands and liner pencils are the most common makeup injury. Never use a product near your eye that is not sold for the eye area.
  • Lash and wig adhesive only. Never super glue, nail glue, or any household adhesive on skin, lashes, or scalp. These cause chemical burns and have sealed eyes shut.
  • No product substitutes. Hair spray, spray adhesive, and construction glue are not cosmetics. People have been hospitalized following internet beauty hacks.
  • Sharp tools cut and infect. Dermaplaning blades, cuticle nippers, and tweezers need clean hands and clean tools. Do not share them.
  • Chemicals burn. Dye, bleach, relaxers, peels, and removers: follow the manufacturer’s timing exactly, ventilate the room, and never mix two products.
  • Old and shared makeup carries bacteria. Do not share eye or lip products, and replace mascara every three months.
  • If it stings, burns, swells, or your vision changes — stop. Rinse with cool water and get medical help. Do not push through it.

โš ๏ธ Safety Checkpoints & Warnings

๐Ÿ“‹ Step-by-Step Guide (6 Steps)

1

Prep Face and Secure Hair

Wash your face with a mild, oil-free cleanser and pat completely dry with a clean towel. Pull your hair back tightly using a spa headband to keep stray strands away from the application zone.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Skin is completely free of oils, makeup, and moisture
  • โ€ข Hairline is fully shielded and pulled clear of the cheeks and forehead
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Leaving facial oils or moisturizer on the skin, which prevents the paste from gripping hair
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Ensure hands are thoroughly washed before touching your cleansed face.
2

Mix the Natural Exfoliating Paste

Add 2 tablespoons of gram flour, 1/2 teaspoon of wild turmeric, and 1 teaspoon of raw honey into the mixing bowl. Gradually whisk in 2 to 3 tablespoons of raw milk until you achieve a smooth, lump-free paste with a thick, spreadable consistency similar to pancake batter.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Paste is uniform in color without dry flour pockets
  • โ€ข Consistency clings to the brush without dripping off rapidly
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Adding too much liquid, creating a watery mixture that runs down the neck and fails to dry evenly
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Use wild turmeric (kasturi manjal) rather than standard cooking turmeric to prevent deep yellow skin staining.
3

Apply in the Direction of Hair Growth

Using a silicone mask brush, apply a medium, opaque layer of the paste evenly over areas with unwanted peach fuzz, such as the upper lip, chin, and jawline. Brush the paste downwards, following the natural downward slant of your facial hair follicles.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Targeted areas are covered with an even, opaque yellow coating
  • โ€ข Eyebrows, under-eye zones, and sideburn edges remain untouched
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Applying the layer too thickly, which dramatically extends drying time and leads to uneven drying
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Keep at least a half-inch clearance around the lower lash line and upper eyelids.
4

Allow Paste to Reach Semi-Dry State

Let the mask rest on your skin for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Do not allow it to become bone-dry and cracked; it should feel slightly tacky to the touch and roughly 80% to 85% dry.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Mask feels firm and taut across the skin
  • โ€ข A light fingertip tap leaves no wet residue but detects slight elasticity
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Letting the mask dry to 100% hardness, which makes rubbing painful and causes unnecessary skin redness
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Avoid excessive facial movements or talking during this stage to prevent premature cracking.
5

Roll and Scrub Against Hair Growth

Place clean, dry fingertips flat against your skin at the base of the jaw or edge of the upper lip. Firmly roll and rub the semi-dry paste upward and inward in circular motions against the direction of hair growth to dislodge fine hairs from the root.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Dried paste rolls off in small, crumbly beads carrying fine vellus hairs with it
  • โ€ข Treated skin underneath appears smooth and clear of the mask
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Pulling downwards with the grain instead of rubbing upwards against hair growth
  • โ€ข Scrubbing too aggressively with fingernails rather than flat finger pads
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: If the friction feels too abrasive on sensitive skin, lightly dampen your fingertips with a drop of water.
6

Rinse, Pat Dry, and Soothe

Rinse away all remaining residue with cool or lukewarm water, avoiding hot water that can aggravate newly exposed pores. Pat your face dry with a clean microfiber towel and immediately smooth a nickel-sized amount of pure aloe vera gel over the treated areas to calm the skin.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข All yellow paste residue is completely rinsed away
  • โ€ข Skin feels calm, hydrated, and refreshed without burning
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Applying harsh chemical toners, AHAs/BHAs, or retinoids immediately after mechanical exfoliation
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Avoid direct sunlight and skip makeup for at least 4 to 6 hours after treatment.
